Langley RCMP investigating fatal Highway 1 collision

One person dead, one seriously injured

Langley, B.C. – Langley RCMP are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Highway 1 near 264th Street on Friday, March 3, 2023.

At approximately 6:30 pm, Langley RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles. Upon arrival, officers found one vehicle fully engulfed in flames and the other vehicle extensively damaged.

The driver of the vehicle that was on fire was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The collision is under investigation and the cause has not yet been determined. Highway 1 was closed in both directions for several hours while RCMP conducted their investigation.
